How I Support Organizations

I help non-profits, foundations, grant-makers, local governments, economic and community development organizations, human and social services providers, and consulting firms generate actionable evidence, strengthen program performance, and improve learning and decision-making.  My work is grounded in methodological rigor, clear communication, and a deep understanding of the policy,  social, and human contexts in which programs operate. My services integrate deep methodological expertise with a commitment to local context, ensuring that every evaluation, policy, and program design leads to measurable, sustainable results.

Professional Approach

I serve my clients by emphasizing:

  • Methodologically sound, comprehensive, and feasible evaluation design
  • Respectful, culturally responsive, and equitable approach to stakeholder engagement, including bilingual (English-Spanish) communications
  • Strategic diplomacy and clear communication in complex or sensitive environments
  • Strong interviewing, data analysis, and synthesis skills
  • Participatory sense-making, knowledge appropriation, and findings utilization
  • Practical, actionable recommendations focused on multi-dimensional sustainability.
  • Effective leadership of multicultural and multidisciplinary local and international evaluation teams

My goal is always to generate evidence that organizations can use — evidence that supports learning, adaptation, and improvements in program outcomes.

Core Services

Program Evaluation & Applied Research

I design and conduct evaluations that help organizations understand what is working, what needs adjustment, and why.

My evaluation services include:

Program Evaluation. An independent study of how a program is working or whether it works offered as formative (improve a program in progress), process (is it delivered as intended), or summative / outcome (what results it achieved). Deliverable: evaluation report with findings, recommendations, and an action plan.

Needs & Feasibility Assessment. Evidence before you launch or fund — what the community needs and whether a program is warranted and workable. Deliverable: a needs assessment or feasibility study (bilingual where relevant)

Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) System Design. Build your organization’s own capacity to measure results — logic models, indicators, data-collection tools, and dashboards your team can run. Deliverable: a results framework, measurement plan, and dashboard, with staff coaching.

My approach emphasizes comprehensiveness, clarity, feasibility, and the practical application of findings.

Grant Lifecycle Support

Grant Prospect Research & Funding Strategy (pre-award). Identify and prioritize the funders that fit and build a realistic funding plan.

Proposal Development / Grant Writing (pre-award). Competitive proposals with logic models, budgets, and evaluation plans presented as a submission-ready proposal or concept note.

Grants Management & Compliance (post-award).  Set up and run awarded grants — funder reporting, compliance (including federal Uniform Guidance where it applies), monitoring, and closeout.

I assist organizations in conceptualizing, designing, and articulating strong program proposals. This includes:

    • Technical writing for donor proposals and concept notes.
    • Development of theories of change and logical frameworks
    • Research to inform program design and prioritization.
    • Strengthening of evidence for proposal competitiveness.
    • Proposal coaching and quality review

I help teams communicate their ideas clearly and ground them in evidence.

Nonprofits Strategy, Strengthening and Facilitation

I support non-profits and community organizations in improving internal systems, decision-making processes, and organizational performance. Services include:

      • Institutional and organizational assessments
      • Advisory support for strategic planning and decision-making
      • Capacity strengthening for MEL teams and local partners.
      • Training in evaluation methods, evidence use, and learning practices.
      • Coaching program teams through adaptive management

My focus is on helping institutions build durable, context-appropriate systems and capabilities.
